This blog is closing. I don't have the time or desire to keep zipping and uploading files so they can float around in the black hole of the internet all for what basically amounted to my own personal satisfaction, which I'm seeking elsewhere now. Maybe I'll be back later for more of that, but probably not.

Peter Gabriel - Passion (1989)

This is a really lovely album that I found in a torrent of the "25 Most Influential Ambient Albums," which was chock full of good stuff, some of which I already have. (So far, Passion is the only one I've gotten to, but keep a look out for the other 202352.) It's got a lot of really interesting textures and moods, and it's altogether a very thorough chill-out.

I initially held off on posting these because I feel their live show is so very and vastly far superior to their actual music, but I think it's worth it as I've been listening to them more frequently lately. I first encountered them at Bonnaroo 2008, and their light show was stunning, particularly in the wee hours of the morning. I missed them in DC and saw them again, however briefly, at Coachella this year- I love dancing, and they bring the perfect atmosphere. Listen to them in preparation for one of the most visually appealing live shows you could ever hope to witness!
