Two Tim Hecker cuts.

Tim Hecker is a producer responsible for some really interesting, non-objective soundscapery.

Two Devendra Banhart cuts.

The South American born, Texas raised Devendra Banhart is part of the New Weird America movement. He's responsible for some of the more well-known psych-folk in the genre, and oh boy is it enjoyable! As with most artists within this neat genre, the music is leaps and bounds more challenging and engaging than anything within more traditional folk sounds. If you don't know him, I highly recommend his music. Here are two starting points.

The Black Babies EP (2003)

Cripple Crow (2006)

Peter Frampton - Frampton Comes Alive (1976)

Every part of this album, particularly the gratuitous use of the talk box, rules. Completely.

Jamiroquai discography.

Though I found this band far too late, I'm really just thankful that I did at all. Their cosmic disco funk is, in my opinion, one of the finest things to have arrived in my ears so far in my life. I'm not even kidding; they are definitely one of my favourite bands. Here are all their studio albums!

School of Seven Bells - Alpinisms (2008)

I caught the tail end of this band's set when I saw M83 in November, and I was so impressed that I went straight home and checked them out. This whole album is really lovely; supposedly it was named for a myth of a school in either pre-colonial South America or America in which children were taught to pickpocket- fabulous!
